Terrorist = Criminal?
This Supreme Court ruling on terrorists now being classified as "criminals" with the same Constitutional rights as you and me is O.U.T.R.A.G.E.O.U.S.
Islamofascists are not reformable criminals. These are sane individuals who operate on the military battlefield. As long as they engage in terrorism on a field of war against the United States, they are military enemies of the United States. They are prisoners of war.

Josh,
You realize what this means, don't you? This means that we cannot wage war as a national any longer; that is, not unless we conduct war with lawyers in the field examining the legality of our actions against the enemy (Can you say, "Such and such was not a proportional and measured response; thus, you, soldier, are a war criminal.").
In a fancy legalistic sort of way, our Supreme Court has gone well beyond the Geneva Convention and has dismantled our war-making abilities in one shot. They've ceded the ground to the enemy.
It almost makes me wonder who got paid off...

I wonder if the liberals understand what this means:
Our Armed Forces are going to be none too pleased with this ruling. They may find a sudden reduction in terrorist prisoners.
In effect, the liberals may have just ensured many fewer chances that their terrorist friends will survive an encounter with the U.S. Army and Marines on the battlefield...
